DESCRIPTION
Acetyl Tributyl Citrate (ATBC) is a clear, odorless, practically colorless, oily liquid. Its water solubility is less than 0.002 g/100 mL, but soluble in most organic solvents.
Acetyl Tributyl Citrate (ATBC) has a very faint, sweet, herbaceous odor. At high levels (e.g., 1000 ppm emulsion in water), it has a mild, fruity, nondescript flavor.

Acetyl Tributyl Citrate (ATBC) is prepared by the esterification of citric acid with butanol followed by acylation with acetic anhydride.
When heated to decomposition it emits acrid smoke and irritating fumes. It is generally regarded as a relatively nontoxic and nonirritating material. However, ingestion of large quantities may be harmful.
STORAGE & PACKAGE
Acetyl Tributyl Citrate (ATBC) should be stored in a well-closed container in a cool, dry location at temperatures not exceeding 38℃. When stored in accordance with these conditions, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate is a stable product.

APPLICATION
Acetyl Tributyl Citrate (ATBC) is non-toxic, odorless and safe plasticizer with excellent thermal, cold resistance, light resistance and water resistance. Suitable for food packaging, children's toys, medical products and other fields. F.D.A approved for use in meat packaging and toy materials. Because of its excellent performance, it is widely used in packaging of fresh meat and its products, dairy products, PVC medical products, chewing gum and so on. Resin plasticized by this product shows good transparency and low temperature flexure performance, and in different media with low volatility and extraction rate, heat stability in dissolved seal, does not change color.
Acetyl Tributyl Citrate (ATBC) is used to plasticize polymers in formulated pharmaceutical coatings, including capsules, tablets, beads, and granules for taste masking, immediate release, sustained-release and enteric formulations.
